Service Description

The goal of start-up services is preventative maintenance and decreasing the need for costly repairs that usually involve expensive parts that take time to get due to the lack of availability. -Machines are thoroughly inspected looking for loose parts, hardware, worn or damaged parts -Check the overall function -Oil change using small engine-specific oil containing zinc ZDDP antiwear additives meeting the high heat demands of air-cooled engines. -NGK spark plugs -Carburetor cleaning -Check the charging system and battery -Engine Valve adjustments, an often overlooked dismissed service item that greatly affects engine run-ability and engine temps -All engine shrouds and guards are removed and cooling fins cleaned -Blades are removed, sharpened, balanced, reinstalled, and torqued to manufacture specs. -Decks are cleaned and coated with fluid film a non-toxic lanolin-based rust inhibitor that will slow the rusting process and aid in keeping grass from sticking to the mower deck -Tractors are thoroughly cleaned and hand wiped with spray wax aiding in keeping paint, plastics and rubber from deteriorating -Any and all adjustments are made including deck leveling -Tractors are test run and Rpm settings including Idle, governed idle, and top no-load speed are checked and adjusted using a digital tachometer. Engine speed greatly effects mowing efficiency and engine/transmission wear. -Any minor repairs are made with in the service -Any Major repairs are parts and labor based on manufacturer labor rate warranty times that I tend to trim down as we are part way there with the service.
