Snowblower 2 stage Start Up Service
Pre-season service "tune-up"
Service Description
Snowblower services are recommended annually as most machines are. Machines stored with pump fuel tend to not start, start hard, or surge or rev if they do start. crankcases sometimes overflow with fuel this can potentially lead to catastrophic engine failure if run like this. Valves need to be adjusted as do all 4 cycle engines, oil needs to be changed, things need to be lubricated and adjusted to prevent expensive part failures. Repeat customers your invoices tend to be cheaper then the previous year. A snowblower service will look something like this vary slightly from machine to machine any minor repairs will be fixed within the service any major repairs outside the service are parts and labor based on manufacturer labor rate manuals that I tend to trim the labor time as we are part way there with the service. -All fluids are drained and disposed of properly. There is a $5.00 waste fluid disposal fee -All covers, guards, lower pans are removed. We clean out any debris from animals or other are blown out, all fasteners and hardware checked for looseness (tightening bolts is a maintenance item in every owners manual and loose bolts are a major contributor to part failures. -Carburetors are removed, disassembled, cleaned, inspected and reassembled ( I very rarely replace a carburetor, we clean and repair OEM carburetors here. If and when we do replace a carb its due to a part update from the manufacture, one that's beyond repair or one that's been replaced with an aftermarket. I do not use aftermarket carbs or repair aftermarket carbs with run ability issues. -Oil change using small engine specific oil generally an API rated CH-4, or CJ-4. Meeting the high heat demands of air cooled small engines and containing zinc anti-wear additives -Valve adjustments are made something almost all 4 cycle engines need as recommended by all manufactures. -Machines are thoroughly cleaned, spray waxed -All adjustments to drive and auger are made -Snowblower housing, augers, and impeller are sprayed with fluid film a non-toxic, lanolin based rust inhibitor, -Drive gears, chains, and gear shift parts are lubricated -Check gear case oil. -Check all belts and bearing -Fuel tanks are filled with Sunoco optima 95 ethanol free fuel -Test run and any carb adjustments including idle and max rpm are made -Test and check of machine overall function
