Refurbish and Rebuild Jobs
Some refurbish and rebuild jobs we have done in the past with some pricing, what it took to make them happen and time frames on them. I enjoy doing them, I wish we could do more of them but unfortunately cost, parts availability, and time quickly become an issue. Can I rebuild a newer engine cheaper than the cost of a new engine? Again unfortunately the answer to this is no more often than it is yes. Due to parts availability, price, and the time to do the job well. Many times the engines that are being requested to be rebuilt are simply too far gone by the time they get to me as well. Now, all that being said we still take on refurbish jobs but it is usually geared towards older engines and equipment with some nostalgic value, or just simply a well-built machine that is cost-effective and would make sense to refurbish. They also do not happen overnight as I can not just dedicate days at a time to them and need to maintain a flow of work as well. I am also willing and interested in looking into whatever project you may have in mind so please don't hesitate to message or call. Let me know what you have and what you're interested in and I will give it a valid look and see if we can make it happen. Best is to send me a email with a picture of the machine model tag as well as the engine model tag with a description that way I can do some research on things.

1990's John Deere 318
The owner and I bounced around the idea of getting a brand new Vanguard on this, ultimately we went with a full rebuild of the original Onan P213 which we had bored .030" over by Aubreys Machine shop, then came back here for new pistons, rings, valves, gasket set, and cam bearings. We repaired the separated intake a common issue on these. All new filters gave the carb a good cleaning got everything cleaned up bolted on and ran well almost instantly. The owner was by not too long ago for some engine oil and a new filter for his break-in service as recommended and said was running well with his mower deck attached and mowing his couple of acres of lawn. First Onan engine for me so it took some time. About 6 months if my memory serves me right. All said and done with the machine work, parts, and labor we got that done in the vicinity of $2600. Both Cylinders were badly damaged and out of round due to dirt ingestion. Nice older heavy-duty engine with room and parts to oversize. I would take on another one if it came my way.

2006 John Deere 125
The original owner was not too interested in spending much on this tractor so I believe we did a full snowblower service in trade for the tractor. The tractor had a v-twin 20HP Briggs and Stratton and surprisingly low hours of 190 or so. I fully serviced the engine and tractor, replaced all the belts and drive idler pulleys new bearings in the spindles touched up the paint with rust converter primer on the real bad spots, matched the green the best we could, sanded the whole tractor to blend things together and shot it twice with two coats of implement grade clear coat. The tractor ran well and looked good. We got that done for approx $900.00

2004 Toro powermax 928
This machine was deemed not cost-effective to repair and took it on as a personal project. These Power Max snowblowers have a heavy-duty gearcase in them and their claim to fame is no shear pins needed. That has been tested often over the years as well as the auger gear case. Im not sure we could do something to this degree cost-effectively but just an idea of what we can do.
